Ian Merrick Award of Merit
An award given in memory of Ian Merrick.
Ian was a long time supporter of Junior Curling in Alberta. He, along with Bernice Merrick have been influential in the sport and have supported countless junior curlers over the years.
The Award is voted on by the organizing committee.
The recipient is an U18 Program Member who embodies the following values:

Exhibits respect for teammates, competitors, coaches and spectators.

Displays a high degree of sportsmanship.

Represents the Curlers Corner U18 Program and the North Hill Curling Club in a positive manner.

Gives back to the U18 Program and shows a willingness to contribute and learn during practices.

Engages in a positive manner with speakers and guest coaches

Shows a strong desire to volunteer with the NHCC junior program and transfer knowledge and ideas to other junior curlers.

Goes out of their way to help others.
